Following from a successful screening and scoping study of coal and lignite deposits for application of εUCG™ in New Zealand, Ergo Exergy and Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd have executed a General License Agreement for provision of εUCG™ Technology in New Zealand. Solid Energy is currently New Zealand’s biggest coal producer and is a leader in the field of modern mining and mine development techniques in New Zealand. The agreement paves the way for the next stage of εUCG™ development in New Zealand with plans for a comprehensive site selection and pre-feasibility study to commence at the beginning of 2008. The addition of Solid Energy to Ergo Exergy’s portfolio of general Licensees provides further confirmation of Ergo Exergy’s world-leading εUCG™ Technology. Ergo Exergy’s founder and Managing Director, Dr. Michael Blinderman "looks forward to a continued relationship with a company of Solid Energy’s calibre."
