Cvictus Inc Awarded $10 Million CRIN Grant for Clean Hydrogen Project

MONTREAL (Quebec), May 12, 2022 — We are pleased to congratulate Ergo Exergy’s licensee and the developer of EHR™ projects Cvictus Inc. with a substantial Canada government grant awarded by the Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN).

CRIN’s $10 million clean technology development and commercialization grant is to assist in construction of Cv̄ictus’s first commercial EHR™-based clean hydrogen plant in Alberta. The highly scalable technology extracts clean hydrogen from unminable carbonaceous formations, leaving most of the carbon in situ, to produce the lowest cost, lowest carbon intensity hydrogen for decarbonizing multiple industries including transportation and petrochemicals.

"We appreciate CRIN’s leadership in recognizing the transformative potential of Cvictus’s EHR™ project to provide lowest carbon hydrogen, which has regional and global ramifications," said Michael Blinderman, Director of Ergo Exergy. "We are confident in our ability to provide low-carbon intensity, low-cost clean hydrogen gas to meet the needs of the developing hydrogen-fueled industries and single cell protein applications," added Dr. Blinderman.

Through CRIN funding of projects identified through its Reducing Environmental Footprint oil and gas technology competition, starting and expanding small businesses are empowered to engage in the global economy and generate hundreds of green jobs.
